Why is my refrigerator not cold enough?
Check temperature settings, door seals, airflow, blocked vents, dirty coils where applicable, room temperature, and abnormal compressor or fan behavior before assuming replacement is needed.

Overview
A refrigerator maintains temperature by moving heat out of the cabinet. Poor cooling can come from a door left ajar, failed gasket, obstructed internal airflow, heavy warm-food loading, dirty heat-exchange surfaces, fan or control faults, or a refrigeration-system problem. Food safety matters while troubleshooting.
Verify the actual temperature
Use an appliance thermometer if needed, confirm settings, minimize unnecessary door opening, and check that the door seals fully. Move items away from internal vents so cold air can circulate through the cabinet.
Escalate mechanical symptoms
Repeated clicking, no fan movement, heavy frost where it should not be, oil residue, unusually hot components, or failure to cool after basic checks can indicate a service issue. Protect perishable food according to current food-safety guidance while the refrigerator is unreliable.
