Why is Wi-Fi slow in one room?
Diagnose room-specific Wi-Fi problems by comparing signal path, interference, placement, device capability, and backhaul instead of assuming the internet plan is too slow.

Overview
When Wi-Fi works well near the router but poorly in one room, the broadband connection may be fine. Walls, floors, distance, metal, neighboring networks, appliance interference, and client radios can all reduce the quality of the wireless link. Testing the same device in multiple locations helps separate local coverage from provider speed.
Map the weak area
Run comparable tests in the problem room, halfway to the router, and near the router. If performance improves consistently as you approach the access point, coverage or interference is more likely than an internet-service bottleneck.
Improve placement before buying
Move the access point higher and more centrally when practical, avoid enclosing it in furniture, and reduce major obstructions. If coverage still fails, consider a wired access point or a well-placed mesh node rather than installing a repeater inside the dead zone itself.
